Description
There are two types of bow shackles, with screw pin and bolt type. The screw pin bow shackle has the ease of removal, that is, it is used when you need to keep changing the fixing points. The bolt type bow shackle is used when it is not necessary to remove the fixing point and when the shackle suffers a lot of vibration in its use, thus preventing the screw pin or bolt from loosening with vibration.
Orientations for the correct use of the bow shackle
- Always check, before using it, that the markings on the shackle and pin are legible and in accordance with the Test Certificate.
- Also check that the products are not deformed or worn. If they have no corrosion, cuts, cracks or notches. If there are any of these problems, do not use the shackle.
- Never attempt, under any circumstances, to reshape or repair your shackle by welding, bending or heating.
